The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Illustration Collection – Series 1 is one of the most collector-focused products of 2026, released on 30 March 2026 as the first of three waves celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. At the heart of this collection are nine Illustration Rare promo cards featuring the beloved starter Pokémon from three iconic regions — Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola — each rendered in a brand-new art style by artist Saboteri that is exclusive to this series and unavailable in any regular booster product.

Each Series 1 collection includes one special promo booster pack containing 3 of 9 Illustration Rare promo cards, randomly drawn from the Kanto trio (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle), the Sinnoh trio (Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup), or the Alola trio (Rowlet, Litten, Popplio). The artwork for each card is packed with region-specific Easter eggs — Gym Badges, the classic Pokédex, and Z-Crystals hidden within each illustration — and when all nine cards from Series 1 are displayed together, they form a connecting panoramic artwork that is one of the most visually spectacular collector displays in the 30th anniversary product lineup.
